Courage

"Courage doesn't always roar. Sometimes courage is the quiet voice at the end of the day saying, 'I will try again tomorrow.'"

Use Your Time Wisely

The ability to concentrate and to use your time well is everything if you want to succeed in business--or almost anywhere else for that matter.
Lee Iacocca
If you want to achieve your goal you need the discipline to use your time wisely.  Don't waste precious time checking e-mails, surfing the web or  Facebook.  You need to refocus and utilize your available time to do what will achieve the next step in your strategic business plan.

If your next step is Marketing or Social Media, then use your time wisely and research these concepts.  The next time you get a few minutes apply what you have learned from your research.  Apply this concept and you will reach your goal.

I have learned to use my time wisely as I have an 18 month old son who naps for a few hours a day.  As soon as I put him down for his nap, I get to work.  I spend those few hours everyday dividing my time between my housework and my homebased business.  I never realized how much work can be done in such a small amount of time when I focus on the task that needs to be done.

The ability to concentrate on the task at hand and using your time wisely is all it takes to succeed.  Take it one step at a time and once you achieve each step celebrate because you have reached a goal!

Adequate Preparation for Tomorrow

"The only adequate preparation for tomorrow is the right use of today." John C. Maxwell

The night before a busy day I prepare but getting everything I will need in the morning put together.  I set everything out on the counter or kitchen table so that all I have to do is take the food out of the fridge and throw it into the lunch bags.  I set everything that can be packed the night before next to the door.  I make sure our clothes are laid out the night before so there will be no running aroun dlooking for socks and shoes.  Sometimes I even cook breakfast the night before so that we can still have  hot breakfast while running out the door.

I hope this helps all the moms out there like me that are trying to make life as easy and frustrating free as possible.

Unexpected Work day

I was all prepared to go to work this morning when I got the call that we were closed due to the snow.  I was getting ready to get my 16 month son up and dressed and load the car to head to the babysitters.

My first thought was that I could have slept in for another hour and then I thought of all the possibilities that a free day would bring.  I already had my shower an was dressed, breakfast was already made and lunch was packed.

My next thougt was, how much work I could accomplish once my little man went down for his nap.
I didn't go to "work" but I am still working except I am working for me.  I love having the opportunity to work from home for myself.  I am able to work my business when ever I want whether there is half a foot of snow on the ground or not.

Life is Good!
